We are inviting professionals from every career field into Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Primary School. Each guest reader takes a 15 minute reading session with one class, Group 1 through Group 8, between 7:45 AM and 9:45 AM. Booking takes less than a minute.

How it works
How you can take part
Bring a book
Bring a children's book you love. Any language is welcome: English, Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish or French.
Donate your book
Leave your book behind for the class library so our students can keep enjoying the story all year.
Pick your style
Fun ways to share literacy
Reading aloud is only one way. Choose whichever one suits you when you book, and we will have the class ready for it.
Read aloud
Share a favourite story with the class.
Poetry
Read or perform a poem, then let the class try one.
Puppet show
Act out a story with puppets or props.
Read along
Take turns reading page by page with the students.
Interview conversation
Let the class interview you about your work and your favourite books.
Finish the story
Start a story, then the class invents the ending.
